SPLIT FOURS CONDITIONS OF PLAY

Play will commence at 9.00am each day.

1. Day One will be Section Play and Day Two will be Post Section.  

2.  After the end of section play teams will be divided into two sections with the top eight teams going into Post Section 1.  Remaining teams will play in Post Section 2.

3. Section play and Post Section will be determined on Wins (2 game points) Draws (1 game point), Shots, Differential and Ends won in that order.  No game points, shots, differential or ends won will be brought forward to section play.

4. The Tournament will be conducted under NZBA Laws and Regulations (4^rd Edition).

5. In the event of the rain bell being rung and all of the required bowls have not been played then the end is declared dead, and all the bowls be removed from the green.  If an end has been completed, then the number of shots must be decided before the game stops. (Law 32). The time clock will continue.

6. If the jack is incorrectly delivered it will then be placed by the opposing skip.  If during an end the jack becomes dead the jack will be placed on the two-metre mark. (Laws 10.2 & 10.3)

7. No restriction of composition of teams, except that each player shall be a playing member of a club affiliated to NZBA.  

8. Substitutes are allowed but cannot play as skip.  Please advise the committee of any changes you may have.  

9. The Skip shall at the completion of each game, hand to the Umpire or their appointee a correctly entered scorecard of the game, signed by both skips.

10. Once the skips of Pairs A and Pairs B have been selected, they must remain in that position, however the leads may change during the tournament.

11. All protests or appeals will be dealt with by a three-person Tournament Judicial Committee which will be convened as required.  This committee is made up from members of the Tournament Committee.  The Judicial Committee may seek advice from an Umpire outside the Tournament Committee if required.

12. The Tournament Committee reserves the right to vary conditions of play if they deem it necessary

Fours:  1 Hr 30 mins – to the Bell	9.00 am to 10.30 am
Pairs A & B: 1 Hr 20 mins – to the Bell – 3 Bowls	10.45 am – 12.05 pm
Pairs A & B: 1 Hr 20 mins	1.00 pm – 2.20 pm
Fours:  1 Hr 30 mins – to the Bell	2.35 pm – 4.05 pm
