Community Event Manager (Volunteer Position)

About Us: The Arawa Bowling Club and Community Recreation Centre is a progressive lawn bowls club located in Glenholme, Rotorua. We offer a sense of belonging and enjoyment to our members and the wider community. Our facilities include well-maintained lawn bowling greens, clubhouses which include event spaces.

Role Overview: As the Community Event Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in enhancing community engagement and promoting our club facilities. This is a volunteer position, and your passion for community development will be key.

Responsibilities:

• Opportunity Seeker: Identify and explore opportunities to increase the utilization of our club facilities by community members. This includes hosting events, workshops, and gatherings.
• Activity Development: Collaborate with different interest and hobby community groups to create engaging activities. From hobby classes to art workshops, your creativity will shine.
• Corporate Lawn Bowling Events: Promote our facilities as an ideal venue for corporate events. Showcase our beautiful greens and event spaces to local businesses.
• Event Management: Take the lead in organising and managing events with the assistance of club members.  From planning to execution, you’ll ensure seamless experiences for participants.

• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and club members.
• Enthusiasm for promoting our club facilities.
